Blue Ribbon is a universal paraffin containing synthetic polymers that can be used both as an infiltration and embedding medium. The paraffin enables the impregnation of tissue to occur rapidly and completely. The wax however will remain stable even at elevated temperatures. It is available in a case of 10 x 2 lb (0.91 kg) lightweight bags to facilitate handling. The bluish tint promotes better visibility of smaller or milky-colored/opaque specimens popular with Dermatology and Urology Labs.

Tissue Infiltration Medium is a special formulation of purified paraffin and plastic polymers for infiltration or embedding. Thorough impregnation of all types of tissue specimens can be achieved with either open or closed automatic processor systems. This medium can be used in conjunction with EM-400.It is stable and will not break down or separate at low or high temperatures. Available in 2lb bags. Melting Point: 56-57° C. Water Bath Temperature: 45-50° C.

Electron Microscopy Sciences UltraBed Low Viscosity Kit 2x100 mL
The kit consists of two components, equal amount, very low viscosity, (~65cps), in convenient dispenser top bottles. To prepare the Embedding Resin, just mix equal amounts of the two components. The resin readily infiltrates into specimen and polymerizes to a clear, hard block overnight at 60°C. Kit comes with 100 mL each component A and component B.

Cargille Meltmount (optical quality) is a series of mounting media which are specifically formulated for use in microscope slide mounting and in other optical coupling applications.
< Use Meltmount for instant thermal mountants that require "no-oven-time" and are thermally reversible for sample retrieval or re-orientation. Meltmounts are PBC free and contains no solvents. Cleanup in toluene. Fluid at 65 degree C. It is a direct replacement for old mountant mediums (Canada Balsam, Aroclor 5442, Naphrax...) It has a refractive index (nD @25 deg C) of 1.662 and an Abbe V dispersion of 26, optically similar to Aroclor 5442 but is PCB-free.
